Jess Millar

Hey! I’m Jess – a baby and family photographer based in Folkestone, Kent. I specialise in capturing relaxed, natural moments for families across Folkestone, Hythe, Ashford, Canterbury and surrounding areas.

I’ve worked in childcare for over 10 years, however, photography has always been a big part of my life. It wasn’t until I started photographing families that I truly found my passion. There’s nothing better than capturing those little moments that show real connection and become a life-long memory.

Having lived and worked in Folkestone my entire life, I’ve thankfully gained lots of local knowledge to find the best photo spots and opportunities for families in the area.

When I’m not behind the camera, I’m a Mummy to my son, walking our dog around Reinden Wood, and probably dealing with more loads of washing than you can imagine.

Such a lovely experience with Jess! She was amazing with our little boy and little girl. Our son got quite grumpy at the end but she was patient with him and even let him take a few photos himself which he thoroughly enjoyed. Jess is amazing with kids. Jess came to our house on Sunday to take some photos of us and our little one at only three weeks old. Jess was easy to contact and was quick at replying and booking us in for a date that was convenient for us. When Jess came to our house, she bought everything that was needed to take photos of our little one – even props! She set up and started taking photos straightaway. She was calm and didn’t rush as trying to take photos of newborn can be time consuming!

We received our photo gallery with our edited photos a few days later. Again, this was an easy process where we logged in and looked through our photos. These were attached perfectly to a song and we were able to look through all of the photos at our own pace and select the ones we wanted to download! Jess captured the beauty of little girl and our family perfectly and both myself and my husband fell in love with all the photos we had to have them all! Jess, thank you so much and we will definitely be booking again in the future!
